These up cycled vintage Army jackets pay homage to the artisanal tradition of Mexican Rótulos— hand painted commercial signs with vibrant typography that advertise all types of businesses. Like neon, hand-painted Rótulos signage is a dying craft. These jackets celebrate a forgotten art and give rise to a new narrative.

I’ve always been drawn to the nostalgic style of typography in old school Rótulos. The simple yet bold messaging and vibrant color schemes inspired me to collaborate with local master Rótulistas and create a collection of jackets adorned with some of my favorite truisms. Each jacket is painted by hand in Mexico by @enelixtle & @rotulos.bautista. Like you, they are unique and each has it’s own character. Unisex. Sizes vary and run relatively true to size.
